Book Design for The Big Fat Man in a Little Bowler HatThis is the first sample chapter for The Big Fat Man in a Little Bowler Hat, a design book being written by Arielle Emmett for Journalism students and other communications majors. The book was inspired by a class Arielle taught at Temple, Design for Journalists. The class was an overview of design and art history, combined with practical computer labs in which the students learned how to use design applications. The design style mirrors a sketch book and encourages students to draw, doodle, and brainstorm. |
